About

I am a postdoctoral researcher working on topics around health and development at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. Here, I am part of a vibrant and multi-disciplinary research consortium on Social Health Protection in Pakistan.

My research focuses on the interplay between good health and economic development, specifically the barriers that keep individuals from taking good health decisions and how a health system can support these. I am particularly passionate about addressing new questions that arise as population-wide health insurance schemes are expanding in LMICs as well as the possibilities that lie in increasingly digitized health systems.

I completed my doctoral studies in development economics in the Research Training Group 'Globalization and Developement' based at the University of Hannover and University of Göttingen.
